this week’s theme for mommy moments is outdoor fun. the first two pictures were taken at the park near our apartment in santa monica. the last picture was taken at the americana in glendale. how time flies! matt still wasn’t walking on his own then, and now it’s like he’s been walking for ages.

this week’s theme for mommy moments is haircut. matt got his haircut the day before his birthday. we went to first cuts in santa monica and the woman who cut his hair was very helpful and really knew what she was doing. matt was still a bit small then so he kept falling off the seat so i had to carry him towards the end of his haircut.

this post is way overdue. a lot has happened in the past month that is why this blog has been neglected quite a bit. i was very busy last month with packing, moving and unpacking our stuff. butch had to start his new job straight away so we only had a couple of weeks to move. the timeline was so tight we didn’t even have an apartment until the day before the movers were coming in to get our stuff. luckily God has made everything fall into place, even making the impossible possible.

last month we got to leave matt with his grandparents for an entire weekend while butch and i drove up to san jose to look for an apartment. apparently matt slept through on the second night… i still have to witness that firsthand matt also went on his very first road trip, when we drove from LA to san jose. it wasn’t as bad as i expected, but we did have to stop a few times for him to nurse. 

the biggest and most memorable development for this month is that matt is now walking on his own! he really got to practice when we moved to the new apartment cos of all the available space. he has also started to giving us proper kisses on the lips, although he has to be in the mood for it. otherwise, no amount of lip-puckering on our part will get him to kiss us.

i have not been able to join mommy moments for the last couple of weeks because of the move and trying to settle in. it’s been about two weeks already since we moved from santa monica to silicon valley, and i must say, having all this room is great! matt has really mastered walking with all the places he can go to in the new apartment. the only downside is having to constantly follow him to make sure he doesn’t get into any kind of mischief.

this week’s theme for mommy moments is grandparents bonding. i was very fortunate in that i had my mother with me when matt was born. she really helped me with the birthing process and she got to bond with matt early on.

i can’t believe that matt is 15 months already! it only seems like yesterday when we were at his birthday party.

i think the biggest thing for this month is matt has started walking on his own a bit more. when we went to his grandparents’ place a couple of weeks back he was walking all over the place! i think he doesn’t walk as much here at home cos there isn’t much space hehe.

also this month he has been dancing a lot. he’s so cute when he’s dancing cos he’s really into it here is a video of matt dancing:

we’ve also established that matt LOVES pinoy spaghetti. i tried making white sauce pasta for him but he wasn’t as enthusiastic about it.
