mommy moments – my mommy moment
December 10th, 2009
this week’s theme for mommy moments is “my mommy moment”. i’m not sure if this has been tackled already, but i am posting a photo fromĀ my birth experience.
i can’t believe that it has been almost two years already since matt was born. looking back at it now, his actual birth is nothing compared to the sleepless nights, endless breastfeeding sessions and more sleepless nights. of course, more than anything, the joy that he brings to our lives makes it all worth it.
mommy moments – tantrums, tantrums
October 22nd, 2009
this week’s theme for mommy moments is tantrums, tantrums. every week i mean to join the meme but usually i remember when it’s friday here already, then i’m too late. anyway, i’m posting this early so i don’t forget!
matt is generally a happy baby.
i’ve noticed though sometimes he has his quirks, he gets fussy when he wants something and can’t have/do it (like wanting to open the front door using the key by himself). hopefully when he starts talking he can express himself better and not get so frustrated easily.
here are some pictures of matt having a tantrum:
not happy mommy! it was so hot at disneyland and he hated riding his stroller.
another hot day. plus he kept wanting to push his stroller while i carried him.
he wanted to get out of his playpen.
he hated wearing his barong lol
mommy moments – hat day
September 11th, 2009
this week’s theme for mommy moments is “hat day”. i haven’t had the chance to join the meme until now because my family has come over from australia for a visit. we have been out of the house all the time, going to tourist spots and visiting family. our schedule will go back to normal by next week so hopefully i can join the upcoming mommy moments.
here are some pictures of matt wearing different hats:
i bought this hat because we were going to go to las vegas and i wanted him to have a hat that had SPF properties. doesn’t he look like a japanese soldier from WW2? lol
mommy moments – i gotta wear shades
August 14th, 2009
this week’s theme for mommy moments is “i gotta wear shades”. these are the only pictures we have of matt wearing shades. unfortunately the sunglasses are meant for girls lol poor matt looks like a girl!
ttc is hard work
August 13th, 2009
it’s ironic cos there are days when i think i am actually ready to have another baby but then a hard day comes along and makes me rethink my decision. i was hoping i was pregnant already, being three weeks late and all, but apparently my period was just late.
often i wonder what it would be like living with a toddler and a newborn? i’m sure it is doable, since a lot of other mums have already been through that. however sometimes i feel like i might not be ready for it. how can i possibly manage taking care of matt, a newborn plus do the household chores too? sometimes i wish we were in the philippines so i could have a housekeeper, a cook and a yaya hehe.
anyway, before i even worry about what life will be like with a toddler and a newborn, we have to worry about trying to conceive. i thought i was possibly pregnant already, but it was just false alarm. a few months back i told myself that matt would have to be potty trained and sleeping properly before i even consider getting pregnant again. after we go on holidays i am planning to potty train matt. his sleeping i will have to play by ear cos we still co-sleep and he still breastfeeds. maybe i will have to consider weaning his night feeds.
so many things to think about… but i’m sure everything will fall into place and God will give us a baby when we are ready.
