is it just me or have people been getting the travelling bug lately? be it local or international, it just seems that people have travelling in their agendas. a few years back i have always wanted to travel to exotic places before i got married. but then it didn’t seem to make much sense to travel alone and not have anyone to take your pictures for you lol

kidding aside, when i was still working i found it hard to keep money aside for travelling. usually i’ve already spent the money even before i got my paycheck. now that i’m married, i still want to travel but sometimes i wonder if i’m really the travelling type of person. when we were in las vegas i was a bit of a killjoy. i suppose 24/7 gambling doesn’t really appeal to me and having to walk everywhere to get anywhere just doesn’t do it for me.

in this episode hiro and ando go back to the present to try and stop the bomb from going off. in this episode we see sylar’s softer side, wherein he doesn’t want to be the bomb and kill innocent people. he even rings mohinder and tells him that he knows he’s bad because he kills people, but he only does it to get their abilities. he doesn’t want to involve un-special people.

the confusing part for me here is howcome sylar didn’t freeze when hiro stopped time?

i can’t believe how there’s only two more episodes left for this season! i wonder if he gets killed in the last episode?  

we just got back from watching spiderman 3 in rolling hills amc. we got there at around 6 and almost all the shows were already sold out! we got a ticket for the 10.05pm session. they have two sessions running every hour and they were sold out.

while waiting we went to bed, bath and beyond and window shopped for about half an hour. after that i continued my quest for the perfect burger i have been craving cheeseburgers of late. yesterday we had in-n-out and today we had dinner at islands restaurant. i had the big wave with cheese but without the onions. i liked how they put butter on the bread. i think i would rate this burger a 7 out of 10.

i’m a bit over my burger cravings now but who knows when i will want my next burger fix. in the meantime i am trying to find avocado ice cream here in LA! 

my mother-in-law is not well so i thought i should cook today so that she won’t have to worry about cooking dinner tonight. i cooked mexican chicken, a recipe that my mum got from a friend of hers. basically it’s just chicken cooked with basil, canned whole tomatoes and mushrooms. among my mother’s recipes, this has to be the easiest one for me and i can cook it from memory alone.

i think i’m more of a baker than a cook. everytime i cook something the dish always tastes bland for me. it’s like i lose my sense of taste when i’m the cook hehe. i love baking because it’s an exact science. i don’t have to worry about being “creative” and “seasoning to taste”. i remember i started taking an interest in baking when i saw nightmare on elm street and one of the characters was baking like there was no tomorrow. baking helps me vent out whenever i’m angry or sad.

i wish i could enjoy cooking as much as my mom though. whenever i feel like cooking something, just the thought of having to slice onions or touch raw meat makes me want to just order take away hehe. maybe when butch and i get a place of our own i’ll be more inclined to experiment in the kitchen. until then i am happy with eating leftovers and fried chicken from kfc.
