i arrived in melbourne at around 10.30am yesterday. i would’ve arrived an hour earlier but there was traffic in sydney airport’s take-off(?) runway. i suppose that’s a measure of how advanced a country is hey? nevermind the traffic on the roads! we have traffic on our runways lol
anyway, the flight from LA took wayyy too long. and can i just say that qantas is still the best airline in the world for me. united’s planes are worn out and the food is crap. on the one hour flight from sydney to melbourne we were served a packet of pretzels lol
flying long haul while pregnant is definitely not a good experience. it was good that the girl next to me was kind enough to swap her aisle seat with me. if she didn’t she would’ve had to get up a dozen times for when i had to go to the toilet. i’m not looking forward to flying again, but at least i’ll be with butch again after that next flight. i miss him already.

i went for my first prenatal exam on wednesday. i read the pregnancy book before the appointment so i kind of knew what to expect for the first visit. although, reading about it and actually being there are two very different things! firstly when i got there i had to fill in paperwork on my medical history. then they took my blood pressure and weight. then i peed in a cup. in the exam (?) room i had to undress and wear a hospital gown.
i don’t think i’m the type who gets weird food cravings. i’m not even sure if i’m already “naglilihi” but i do get some food cravings. this morning i indulged myself and had fried eggplant slices with vinegar & soy sauce dipping sauce
