side a and freestyle concert in anaheim

butch and i watched the 7pm show for side a and freestyle. the show started a bit late and it ended about twenty minutes late too. they sang some of their more popular songs and some third party r&b, rock and dance songs. when both bands started singing “tuloy pa rin ako” everyone stood up (with much persuasion from joey) and started dancing.

there were two shows scheduled for tonight. it was a good thing we went to the earlier one because we didn’t have to queue at all, unlike the 9pm audience. it’s cool too, how all of side a’s members can sing and play an instrument.

some of the songs they sang were, from memory: forevermore, before i let you go, so slow, so many questions, bohemian rhapsody, so sick, deja vu, tuloy pa rin ako, the bagets song, etc. it was fun :) butch said he felt like he was back in the philippines. it’s odd because when i was still in manila i hardly watched concerts. i suppose when you’re away from your homeland you tend to do things that you don’t normally do just so you can be reminded of home.
