we are moving in a couple of days and i am sooo excited! :) although it will be a lot of work- packing, moving, unpacking, cleaning, assembling and arranging, it’s all good cos i can’t wait to have our own place. new routines will have to be established, like when the housework and cooking will get done, etc but i’m pretty sure things will work out :)

tomorrow will be a busy day cos we are getting the moving truck plus buying some stuff at ikea. lucky my in-laws are helping us cos at least there is someone to watch over matt while i get organised. first thing on my list is to organise the kitchen and then the bathroom. so much to do! lol

i can’t wait for the living room to be all set up so matt can start crawling and cruising :)

our weekends have been a bit busy: shopping for things for the apartment, looking for furniture and other moving out related activities. I can’t say I have accomplished much… I haven’t really seriously started packing yet. despite all the stuff we have to do prior to moving I am actually ok with that, I am more daunted by having to finish selecting (only) 150 pictures for our wedding album. I haven’t even started browsing the thousands of pictures since last July! :O I told Butch I will spend next Saturday completing the selections. I think I will have to do it in one sitting cos I will just end up doing other things during weekdays. it’s so hard to focus on the album with Matt around. at least on Saturday Butch can mind him while I concentrate on the album.

i’ve always said that i prefer winter to summer, just because it’s easier to get warm in winter than it is to get cool in summer. i think i like summer better now! winter is so hard with a baby, having to dress matt in so many layers, and then having to peel off most of those layers when i have to change his nappy. and he’s decided he will poop every couple of hours, sometimes less, which means i’m spending so much time dressing and undressing him!

another downside is we’ve all gotten cough and colds :( it’s true what they say that if you can just take your kid’s pain you would do it in a heartbeat. i hate it when matt’s having a hard time breathing and i hate it even more when i have to give him his saline nasal drops and try to clean his nose. he hates it with a passion and i have to be the bad guy who has to insist on clearing up his nose. he’s getting a bit better though, i just hope he gets better soon so that both of us can get some sleep at night!

i think for the next baby i’d prefer him/her to be a winter baby. it’s easier to dress and undress a baby that’s hardly mobile, as opposed to matt who doesn’t understand the concept of staying still hehe. and by the time that baby is six months, it would be summer already and won’t have to wear as much clothes! lol

we watched indiana jones 4 last saturday at the howard hughes center. it was OK, nothing special. i guess you would like it if you were into killer ants, aliens and tarzan.

we have just over 3 weeks before we fly to the philippines. i’m looking forward to seeing my parents and cousins. i’m worried about the actual wedding day though, i hope matt takes the bottle that day. otherwise i will be breastfeeding while in my wedding gown lol :D

it’s so true that babies grow up so quickly that buying too many clothes in a specific size is a waste of money. matt’s only turning 3 months and some of his clothes don’t fit anymore! i’ve been dressing him up in his new “going out” clothes just to get at least one wear out of them, before matt outgrows them.

here’s matt looking like he’s going to go jogging lol

baby gap jogging pants jumper

it’s so funny cos the jogging pants actually have POCKETS! :D what would a 2 month old need pockets for??

in other news i’m getting some normalcy back into my life… i’ve ironed my hair a few times, got a pedicure and got my eyebrows threaded. now if only i can go back to my pre-pregnancy body, then that would be great hehe
