cheesygarcia is getting married!

i just heard back from clarice and apparently my preferred photographer and videographer are unavailable for my wedding day… it’s ok though, these things happen.

for photographers i’m choosing between john mateos ong and rene gaviola. i’m leaning more towards rene gaviola because i already know of two people who used him for their weddings. i also don’t like doing “funny” poses so his style would really suit us. hopefully clarice can get in touch with him and find out whether or not he is still available for our wedding.

on the other hand, john mateos ong’s imagine nation already include video in their packages. hmm.. i don’t know, maybe i should just get both and have rene gaviola as the second photographer. it would still be within budget anyway. i’ll just wait to hear from clarice about the actual rates and then we’ll make a decision.

in terms of priorities, i’d rather splurge on photography than the videographer since i’m more likely gonna look at the photos more often vs. watching the wedding video.

after days of worrying about the increasing budget for my wedding gown and the gowns and barongs for the bridal party, i can finally see the light!! my parents came to the rescue and said that they will take care of the expenses for the gowns and barongs. yey!!! we are so blessed i’ll email veluz tomorrow with the pictures of the bridal party so that she can start designing the gowns.

butch left work early today and we’re going on a date. he doesn’t have work tomorrow so we can go out tonight we’re watching “the hoax” and eating at in and out burger lol

mommy and i went to PNB yesterday to pay my deposit for our wedding planner, clarice of an event to remember. i also transferred money to her to pay the deposit for our other suppliers: threelogy, mimi & karl and josiah’s catering. i was really disappointed with the exchange rate though

veluz also came back to me with pricing for my gown, it was waaaay more than i expected. but i really want to get her though so i’m still waiting to hear from clarice about what we can do with the gowns & barongs for the entourage. butch said we can spend up to 250k for the gowns and barongs but in my head i can’t really justify spending that much for clothes that we would only be wearing once.

i also spoke to another designer, oliver tolentino of oliver couture. he flies to LA every now and then so fittings wouldn’t be a problem. however his price is even more expensive so i don’t think there’s any chance that we would be getting him.
