entourage gowns by veluz reyes

we had all of our ento’s dresses and barongs done by veluz as well because it was easier just dealing with one supplier since we are based overseas. niko was the one who designed all of the ento dresses and he did not disappoint :) i especially loved the brooches on the girls’ dresses. he also captured the shade of brown that i wanted and chose really nice fabrics.

for the barongs, only the groom’s barong included an undershirt. if we wanted to get undershirts for the men it would’ve cost an extra 1k, which i didn’t want to pay for. lucky they gave matt a free undershirt, otherwise it would’ve been a nightmare trying to find a camisa de chino for a six month old lol :D

i would give niko a 5 out of 5 for all his patience throughout the process, eventhough my MOH arrived the day before the wedding, he still managed to pull everything off! :)

more pictures of the dresses and barongs after the jump.

veluz wedding dress sketch

Option A

I originally wanted a bolero with the dress so that I can take it off before the reception and it would look like I had changed my dress. However I didn’t really like the pattern for the back of dress. And also I don’t really go sleeveless in public so I would probably end up wearing the bolero for the entire night anyway.

Option B - my choice! :)

I like this dress the best because of the pattern on the train. Although there is no bolero, I like how the back is open which makes the dress a bit sexy. My only concern is that my love handles might show! :D

Option C

I like the front of this dress but I don’t really like the back and the lack of detail on the skirt. I think this is similar to the dress that Danica Sotto wore on her wedding.

clarice has already booked john mateos ong for our photography/videography, rene gaviola as our back-up photographer and sound salad as entertainment for the reception. we are also planning to get 92AD as the choir for the ceremony and to sing during reception, but we don’t have enough funds to make a deposit yet. hopefully when we are ready to make the payment they will still be available for our wedding date.

i still have to decide on who to get as our make-up artist. the most important thing for me is they will be able to make my short, short hair look nice for the wedding. of course make-up is important too but that is easier i think, compared to making my unruly hair look good :D

also i am due to have my measurements taken by veluz at the end of this month. online fitting will be done in july and another 25% deposit needs to be made by that time. i wasn’t able to include the secondary sponsors in my contract with veluz. but it’s a good thing that we might be able to save some money because dad already has a barong and i think my dad already has one too. although i’ll have to check when i go to canberra if the barong looks ok.

after days of worrying about the increasing budget for my wedding gown and the gowns and barongs for the bridal party, i can finally see the light!! my parents came to the rescue and said that they will take care of the expenses for the gowns and barongs. yey!!! we are so blessed :) i’ll email veluz tomorrow with the pictures of the bridal party so that she can start designing the gowns.

butch left work early today and we’re going on a date. he doesn’t have work tomorrow so we can go out tonight :) we’re watching “the hoax” and eating at in and out burger lol
