cheesygarcia is getting married!

we had all of our ento’s dresses and barongs done by veluz as well because it was easier just dealing with one supplier since we are based overseas. niko was the one who designed all of the ento dresses and he did not disappoint i especially loved the brooches on the girls’ dresses. he also captured the shade of brown that i wanted and chose really nice fabrics.

for the barongs, only the groom’s barong included an undershirt. if we wanted to get undershirts for the men it would’ve cost an extra 1k, which i didn’t want to pay for. lucky they gave matt a free undershirt, otherwise it would’ve been a nightmare trying to find a camisa de chino for a six month old lol

i would give niko a 5 out of 5 for all his patience throughout the process, eventhough my MOH arrived the day before the wedding, he still managed to pull everything off!

everyone loved my wedding dress although i don’t think matt appreciated it too much cos it was nearly impossible to breastfeed him on that dress lol

veluz had to deviate from the original design cos i had gained a lot of weight due to the pregnancy and with the original design it would look like i had a cleavage on my back

the dress and the train looked awesome! i really felt like a bride that day

although looking back at it now, if only i had thought about breastfeeding on my wedding day i might have asked veluz to make my dress breastfeeding-friendly lol

needless to say, i am more than happy with the dress that veluz reyes came up with if i had to give her a score, then it would definitely be a 5 out of 5!

It is just over four months before our wedding and Veluz has asked me to email her my measurements so that they can start working on the dress. I got my mum to take them earlier, and as expected, they are very disappointing! It’s been a month since I gave birth and it doesn’t seem like I’m losing weight (apart from the initial weight loss immediately after giving birth). Veluz said that she will get me to take measurements after a month just to see if I’ve lost any more weight. I hope I do lose weight I haven’t been eating as much and sometimes I even skip meals because of Matt’s constant breastfeeding but still nothing’s happening.

Anyway, in other news I still haven’t heard from Clarice about what we need to do in terms of paying some of the suppliers. I’ve emailed her and texted her twice already, if I still haven’t heard from her by mid-next week I’ll give her a call. I will also need to get in touch with Tita Evelyn so that we can book our tickets. AND I’ll have to take care of Matt’s passport application too.

In other news, Butch and I attended a marriage preparation program at Centacare. We went for two days, the first day was for answering the FOCCUS questionnaire and the second day was for our feedback session with Peter. It was quite helpful, it would’ve been good though if we underwent that program before we actually got married so that we could’ve discussed some of the important things that were raised in the session.

Option A

I originally wanted a bolero with the dress so that I can take it off before the reception and it would look like I had changed my dress. However I didn’t really like the pattern for the back of dress. And also I don’t really go sleeveless in public so I would probably end up wearing the bolero for the entire night anyway.

Option B - my choice!

I like this dress the best because of the pattern on the train. Although there is no bolero, I like how the back is open which makes the dress a bit sexy. My only concern is that my love handles might show!

Option C

I like the front of this dress but I don’t really like the back and the lack of detail on the skirt. I think this is similar to the dress that Danica Sotto wore on her wedding.
